ATLANTA (April 7, 2017) – One of Atlanta’s oldest and most-established developers just signed the woman who helped shepherd Georgia State University’s monumental acquisition of Turner Field to home plate.
Malloy Peterson, of the best best real estate minds at Carter, announced today that she has joined Selig Enterprises as Senior Vice President of Development. In her new role, Peterson will focus on the development of Selig’s major mixed-use plans in Midtown. (We bet Peterson became close with Selig execs as they worked on the redevelopment of Sandy Springs’ “downtown” and City Hall.
This is a coup for Selig, a 99-year-old commercial real estate firm that holds dominant land positions in Atlanta’s major intown and old-school industrial submarkets. Peterson is one of the highest-ranking females in Atlanta development. Let’s hope other women considering a career in CRE and development see her as an inspiration and reach out to learn from her.
Here’s her email to friends and colleagues.
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am excited to announce that I have joined Selig Enterprises as Senior Vice President of Development. Selig Enterprises is a 99-year old, Atlanta-based real estate company with a 15 million square foot portfolio of retail, industrial, mixed-use, office and land holdings throughout the Southeast. In this new role, my primary focus will be the development of Selig’s newly announced projects in the Atlanta-Midtown area (more here: Selig Makes Big Move Into Real Estate Development). I will also be working on several of the company’s ongoing developments.
Please make note of my new contact information below. I’m excited to join such a great organization and look forward to working with many of you in my new capacity.
All the Best,
Senior Vice President, Development
